Lauryn Bikos (she/her)

Honours Specialization in English Language and

Literature and Major in Political Science

Welcome back to another year with me at the Brescia Buzz! I have always loved reading, writing, politics, and community involvement. So, no surprise that with my background as an English and Political Science student, becoming the editor of the 2021-2022 Brescia Buzz was a dream come true. Now, I am the returning editor for the 2022-2023 school year, and I could not be more excited to continue in this role!

You may have seen me around campus as I was the 2021-2022 Head Soph for the Orientation Program. If you see me again, do not hesitate to say hi and chat! Even better, come to me with ideas for the Brescia Buzz and articles you may want to write!

After the success the Buzz saw in the past year with student and community engagement, I hope to continue to expand Brescia’s student-run newspaper to capture our unique campus fully. If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please email me at bresciabuzz.editor@bucsc.ca.

J (she/her)

Double Major in Psychology and Philosophy

Hi, I’m J (she/her)!

I’m a second-year psychology and philosophy student at Brescia, and I am so thrilled to be one of your writers this year. My focus will be on all things social & political, and my hope is that my work leaves you with a sense of curiosity that carries into other facets of your life.

A few of my personal interests are climate action, reading, getting creative in the kitchen, being a full-time swiftie & rewatching heart-stopper for the millionth time.

Fun fact about me: I spend my summers working for Ontario Parks & I have a skinny pig named Bug!

Feel free to reach me by email at jenna_bresciabuzz.writer@bucsc.ca or through my personal Instagram DMs @jennabeecroft.

Bye for now! 🕺🏼🪩✨🌏🫶🏼
