Psychology Degrees and Opportunities at Brescia

Considering a psychology module but unsure where to start?  Couldn’t attend the zoom presentation on February 25th, 2021?  Don’t worry!  Your BUCSC psychology representative created a presentation full of helpful information and links to guide you as you plan your psychology studies and opportunities, at Brescia and beyond.

Graduation Requirements

The presentation provides information on minimum grade requirements, course breadth requirements, essay course requirements, and residency requirements.

Brescia Psychology Degrees

At Brescia, you have several options for a psychology module within your degree.  In this presentation, you’ll find information about the admission requirements and required courses for the following modules:

  • Honours Specialization

  • Specialization

  • Major

  • Minor

Most graduate programs require students to have completed a 4-Year Honours Degree, meaning either an Honours Specialization or a Double Major.  If you want to be a competitive applicant, you should complete an Honours Specialization.

Psychology Courses

Psychology courses cover a wide range of topics related to the brain and behaviour.  You can find courses exploring topics like counselling, child development, personality, stress and coping, memory, language, relationships, sensation and perception… and more!  This presentation contains a detailed list of courses at Brescia, main campus, and King’s.  Different campuses offer different subjects, and some courses are only available every 2-3 years.

Careers & Volunteering

In the presentation you’ll learn about:

  • Careers that can students pursue with a psychology degree

  • Where to search for jobs in the field of psychology
